Best Holiday Gifts – what did you get?

I’m loading up my new ipod right now! This looks like it will be fun…it plays video too.

So I’ve been loading up all my tunes, as well as a bunch of music videos and south park and simpsons shows, as well as thousands of hours worth of old time radio shows (30’s -50’s)….also ran over to webmasterradio.fm to subscribe to a handful of the podcasts there as well.

This is the coolest gift I got.

  1. Hey ho Jim..

got one of these 1GB (suppposedly) indestructable flash memory sticks..desperately needed one, been working from about 3 different locations on my sites..tough to remember what version is most recent.. it snowing where you are?

  2. We’ve got about 5 inches of snow that’s been here for a few weeks…but no snow today (upstate New York)….so it is a white christmas.

  3. Jim,

If you need any assistance with converting video, let me know. I’ve been through the pain already and can save you some sweat and tears.

Also, if you are interested, I can show you how to convert blogs with RSS feeds into audio. I NEVER have time to sit and read blogs, so I have an application that downloads the text from blogs overnight and converts them to audio via Mac or Microsoft Speech. Then, I listen to blogs during the day. It keeps me on top of the industries I need to be on top of w/o stealing time from my work day. Drop me a line, I can get you movin’ on it if you’d like…or we can chat about it at SES NY (I assume you’ll be there). Enjoy!

  4. Giovanni,
Thanks for the offer of help….it took me several hours to figure out why my videos wouldn’t play….I started by paying someone $24.95 to give me a “how to manuel” with a link to Videora ipod converter (free software)….that software wouldn’t work for some reason, so I ended up buying a program called Xilisoft iPod video converter…

I’m now enjoying watching cool music videos (lots of beatles), some tv shows (simpsons, south park, star trek (TNG)), and some comedy (short funny clips).

I’d be into finding how you convert blogs into audio! Yea, I’ll be in NY (I’m about 2 1/2 hours north via train ride).

I’m still don’t have my webmasterradio podcasts working on my ipod yet, and pics….but haven’t played with them much yet.

    Any tips would be great!
