SMX 2007 Seattle Pictures + Olympic National Park

I arrived on Saturday night and rented a car and took the fairy over to the Olympic Peninsula. On Sunday I drove around Olympic National Park (and hiked in the rain forest). Sunday night MSN started it off with a great gathering and served these blue martini’s that several people were calling "the blue screen of death" drinks. Monday night Yahoo was also serving martini drinks with glow ice at the exhibit hall. That was followed by the Seattle Google Dance where drinks were served in glow cups. I played frogger for the first time in 20 years and had chats with many. Tuesday was the SEOmoz gathering with pool, bowling, and drinks (Thanks SEOMoz!)

Here’s some pics! Though looks like I’m bad at getting all the same people every night….oh well.

  1. Good on ya for checking out the Olympics while you were there. That rainforest is simply breathtaking. When there, you can’t but help feel how rare these things are becoming.

  2. The tree pics are beautiful.
But how the hell did you get those pics of Aaron when we had Sushi? I might have been drunk, but I never saw a camera. Do you have a camera in your finger or something? Is that what you are realty doing when you “strike the pose”.. taking pictures?
That was a nice time, and I enjoyed talking with you and Skip.

  3. Hiya Jim, Great to meet you finally =) SMX was a really good conference, and the parties were even better! Oh and thanks so much for the link, we like it =)
    Cheers,

    Lisa

  4. Wow, those pics are beautiful. Maybe one day I’ll be lucky enough to see the Olympics myself. SMX looks like a lot more fun than one would think lol. Since I’m new to the SEO game, I can’t wait for more posts on whats happening on the link ninja front… maybe once all you guys have recovered haha.

  5. Wow, I didn’t know Tinkerbell was transporting people these days. Jim, I think you might want to change the spelling of fairy to ferry. 😉

  6. Wow, I”m sad to say that I missed the Seattle trip…Olympic National Park looks awesome, perhaps there’s a helicopter tour available? LOL

Oh by the way…what type of camera are you using? Those indoor pictures came out well.

  7. Bill, I can’t find the camera or I’ll tell you…when I find it I’ll let you know…btw, I’ve lost more than 3 cameras at conferences…for over a year I was also stuck with disposable cameras because ever conference I’d loose the nice house camera. I haven’t lost one in a while now though 😉

  8. I want to be an SEO guy so I can hang out at parties with good looking women, drink, wear casual clothes, and not have to humiliate myself on a daily basis.
